The most recently completed development project was the purchase of the old Alliance and Leicester head office in Hove. The project was funded by colleagues in the Netherlands and involved the preparation and submission of a planning application for 220,000sf of Offices, 64 residential apartments of which 21 are Affordable and a crèche facility.
During the demolition of the redundant office structures, the removal of asbestos was undertaken under strict HSE supervision. The private residential site was sold to a house-builder. The Affordable apartments were constructed for an RSL and the Offices were completed and let to Legal and General. This element of City Park, Hove, was then sold as an investment. During the development programme, ownership of the office element was transferred.
